Copy of Throat Chakra
Mantra: VISHUDDHA
Located in the throat area, this chakra deals with freely and clearly speaking your truth, communicating your intention and simple self-expression. When blocked, it may create negative thinking, self-criticism, disrespectful speech and throat infections. When open, you have an easier ability to communicate, express positive thoughts and speak respectfully of others. Follow the Pooja Practice to open your throat chakra like a lotus flower opening to the cosmos.
When to use
If you find you're the kind of person that has a fear of speaking, uses harsh words, likes to speak falsehoods, maybe you have trouble keeping confidential or you tend to have sore throats or thyroid problems then use the Throat Chakra bath bomb to open your communication to a purifying harmonious vibration of grace for yourself and to the world around you.
Essential Oils
Eucalyptus:
This essential oil has been widely used as a traditional and natural medicine for centuries to treat body pains, colds, sinus congestions, and fevers. The active chemical components contribute to its reputation as a purifying, cleansing, clarifying, and immune-boosting oil that facilitates easy breathing, enhances feelings of relaxation and soothes nervous tension while helping to clear the mind.
Chamomile:
The use of the Chamomile flower has been described in medical texts from ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome used to relieve skin conditions, anxiety, depression, nausea, indigestion, inflammation and insomnia.
POOJA PRACTICE
Once in your warm bath, release the chakra bomb in your left hand and close your eyes. Breathe deeply inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. Bring your awareness to your throat, visualizing a blue glow around a lotus flower that is opening. Listen in for a moment to how you want to express yourself to the world around you and chant the sacred Mantra ‘HUM’ for 1-2 minutes. When ready, open your eyes to see you are enveloped in the seed color of this chakra. Repeat aloud this powerful affirmation with eyes open or closed: “I am clear about what I want and express it easily” May this practice help to cleanse and restore balance, bringing healing and overall well-being to you. Rest and be at Peace
Throat Chakra Balancing
Sound, vibration, rhythm, music, voice, words, communication are all aspects to the fifth chakra.
Touch your fingers to your throat and on the exhale let a relaxing sound out. Feel the vibration and how your body expresses relaxation. This chakra bridges your heart and your mind and filters all the messages that come through and forms them into words, so watch what you say! To speak and live your truth authentically means your chakra is open and you will be able to effectively communicate your needs, desires, creative ideas, boundaries, empathy, and love, allowing profound spiritual truths to flow freely.
Signs of an overactive throat chakra means it's in overdrive and you're experiencing a lack of control over your speech and talking without a filter like when someone is overly critical of others, displays rudeness and arrogance, refusing to listen or likes to gossip. When it's underactive, it means you're experiencing blockages that contribute to feelings of insecurity and introversion that cause one to become insecure and timid with a fear of speaking up for themselves. Open your throat chakra and you'll be great at making yourself understood, able to say what you really want to say and get people to listen to you.
The key is to familiarize yourself with the signs and symptoms of an under or overactive fifth chakra. Once you recognize what is amiss, the next step is learning about pooja practice to begin the journey and restore balance to your throat chakra and its full potential, improving your overall well-being. It is important to practice using your voice by talking with close friends and family in a heartfelt way, making it a point to always speak openly and honestly with all that you say. Remember that your voice has power in its vibration to all that hear it, so speak kindly.
Take some time to do this everyday. Observe when you get these feelings that bubble up and begin to breathe deeply with your eyes closed. Imagine being surrounded by a glowing blue light that is radiating through every cell of your body. Journal any thoughts or images that come to you. And when you are ready to connect to your true intention, draw a warm bath and use Pooja’s Throat Chakra Bath Bomb to help release it.
